Guardian News

The Guardians of Harmony are a premiere men's a cappella show chorus. The 35-man chorus represents the Rochester Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society and performs often in the Detroit metropolitan area.

On January 1, 2013, the Guardians of Harmony chorus officially became a part of the Rochester chapter. Rochester's The Heart of the Hills chorus name has been retired as has the BHS charter in Macomb County. Though the process was 18 months in the making, it was a nearly an instant success as the newly-merged chapter entered Pioneer District Competition in Traverse City on April 20 taking 2nd place a mere 9 points (out of 1200 possible) out of first and posting the highest scores since winning its last championship in 2008. It was the highest placement and score in the 35-year history of the Rochester chapter. The chorus is far from satisfied and is quite anxious to bring its brand of high-quality singing entertainment to the Rochester Community!
